MundoFox, the new Spanish-language broadcast network launching this summer in the U.S has landed Kdabra, one of the hottest supernatural series in the Hispanic market. Kdabra and El Capo are the two highly -rated existing shows that the new network is counting on to catch viewer attention and bring them over for a look at the new network who announced their initial programming line-up to the media last week.

“[T]hese show clearly represent the disticntive programming that MundoFox will be offering our viewers,” Emiliano Saccone, Presidnet of MundoFox told the media when announcing the initial programming lineup. “The ‘New Latino’ audiences we are targeting are clearly more demanding than previous generations. The mere fact that a program is in Spanish is not enough to differentiate. Today’s Latino wants content that is more enriching, challenging and ‘American como tu’.”

Not many member of the Kdabra audience are American like Luca (Christopher Von Uckerman), the main character in the critically acclaimed series melding mystery and magic with a healthy dose of intrigue and religious theologies. Luca, the  17 year old son of the leader of a religious community triggers a series of unexpected events when he escapes his upbringing.

Kdabra is set at the Majestic Hotel, a casino resort where the real and supernatural worlds meet and blend. Home to the internationally known magician Rene (Damian Alcázar), amazing feats of seemingly supernatural nature regularly occur at the Majestic,  adding to the mystery surrounding it and Luca until their secrets are revealed.

In many ways, Kdabra is made for RP. The series is sexy, supernatural and there is plenty of room for OCs of every kind. The storylines are complex and engaging and the mystery…definitely keeps you guessing right up until the end. So what do you say: are you ready to role play in Spanish?
