The Fox International Channels and LAPTV co-production saga, produced by Fox Telecolombia, will premiere 10 new episodes in the first half of the year.
Kdabra, a Fox International Channels (FIC) and Moviecity original production made by Fox Telecolombia, began shooting its second season in Bogota. The TV drama, which is produced in Latin America by Fox Telecolombia and stars Mexican singer and actor Christopher Von Uckermann, will have 10 episodes. It will air in the first half of this year on LAPTV's Moviecity package.
Based on an original idea by Argentine writer Andrés Gelós (Valentino el argentino, Dromo), the series is under the direction of Colombian Felipe Martínez (Bluff, Tiempo Final). The scripts were written by Gelós and Martín Preusche. Kdabra, which is filmed in High Definition, will have a major outdoors display at real locations and inside Fox Telecolombia's studios.
The series, which had a successful first season, will have a multinational cast, with Christopher Von Uckermann and Margarita Rosa de Francisco in the leading roles, starring next to Damián Alcázar, Fabio Rubiano, Martín Karpan and Andrea Montenegro.
"Outstanding experiences such as Tiempo Final and Mental confirmed Latin America's talent and ability to produce meeting demanding international standards, so we were confident that Kdabra was going to be a step further for local premium content. Now, that we have just started shooting the second season together with Moviecity, it pleases us to know that the series not only achieved excellent results above our expectations but that it also built strong bonds with audiences all across Latin America," said Emiliano Saccone, Fox International Channels' global development executive VP, and Fox Latin American Channels' editorial director.
